I will be a three hour plane flight from Miami directly to the town of Barcelona, Venezuela which is adjacent to Puerto La Cruz. There are some South American based airlines that carry good deals on this flight. Also check out Margarita Island (www.margarita-island-venezuela.com)-a short ferry ride from Puerto La Cruz.
